Italy is the first European country for organic area and production.
In 2005, the total agricultural area was 1.800.000 ha of which 1.067.102 ha were organically cultivated (acreage in conversion to organic farming included) with:
44.733 farmers; 61.341 linspections visits carried out by 16 approved inspection bodies throughout the country; 1200 farmers deliver their organic products to Agricola Grains;
Agricola Grains distributes organic raw materials in the following countries:
Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Canada, United States.
